I hear music, melodies, arrangements, choirs, intensity, dynamics.
I visualize motion, camera angles, artistic embellishments, facial emotions for music on screen.
I imagine the possibilities.
I was born in Santa Rosa, CA and raised in Kenwood, CA. I have been writing songs as long as I can remember. Before I could talk well, I began whistling. Starting out on the piano, I developed an ear for music and went on to make my home midi recording studio when I was nine. Playing all the parts to the songs, I was making great multi-track recordings and learning new techniques. Some of the other instruments that I started playing first were the slide guitar (dobro) and then the electric guitar. When I went to middle school out in Sebastopol things changed. Wanting to make a band and join up with other musicians, I found “The Great Burro Studios.” This is where I formed the band called Collision Point. After a year and a half the band broke up because of musical differences. Spencer Burrows coached me in different aspects of songwriting and singing while my long time guitar teacher, Keith Richman taught me the ways of guitar. Five months after Collision Point broke up, Spencer helped me form AWOL (formerly known as J-Walk). Now AWOL has been recording and getting gigs.
I am at Santa Rosa High / Art Quest in the Video Production program.
Update: At this current point in time (17 years old) I have decided that I will work on my solo career and work towards to publish an album or two of my songs.
